How to Disabled Windows Update with Group Policy - One of the ways to overcome the Windows Update that continues to appear is with Disabled Windows Update provided by Microsoft, there are several methods to Disable Windows Update that have been discussed in the previous article, but here will be discussed about the article using the Group Policy.
Note:
~ Turning off or disabling Windows Update can jeopardize the security of your PC or Laptop because it does not receive security update patches from Microsoft.
~ This method can only be done on Windows 10 Pro, Education, and Enterprise users.
1. Select the Run menu
2. Type gpedit.msc in the field that appears and click the OK button
3. Select the Administrative Templates menu on Computer Configuration
4. Then select Windows Component
5. After that 2x Click on Windows Update
6. Then a list of commands that can be used will appear, but here you select Configure Automatic Update
7. Next a settings window will open for Configure Automatic Update, you activate it first, then click on the Configure automatic updating drop down and select 2 - Notify for download and notify for install and Click Apply then OK
