Beautiful Cave Owned by NTT, Batu Cermin Cave - Batu Cermin Cave is one of the caves in Labuan Bajo, East Nusa Tenggara. This cave was discovered by Theodore Verhoven, a Catholic missionary.

When you arrive at the location you must first pass through the entrance to the cave where there are many bamboo trees. When the dry season the whole tree will look so dry but it actually makes them look so beautiful.

This cave has a cement staircase that is quite high at its entrance, making the appearance of the cave become even more magnificent with high sky.

However, all visitors are required to wear a safety helmet and carry a flashlight, because there is a dark part of the cave that you can explore. This cave has a variety of uniqueness, one of which has a large screen wall of the cave.

While not far from the wall there is a hole where the sunlight enters. If at noon, light will fall into the hole and hit the cave wall. The incoming light will be reflected throughout the cave gap that may be reached by light.

Because in the rainy season if there is a puddle of water at the bottom near the wall, the puddle of water will be reflected into the wall. But visitors cannot always witness the phenomenon, due to the rare rainy season on NTT land.
