Rome actually had long targeted the 49-year-old tactician before deciding to fire Eusebio Di Francesco. However, they preferred Claudio Ranieri as a coach in a short-term contract.
However, Ranieri is considered not to have made a satisfactory contribution. Because, they only won two wins, two defeats, and one draw in the last five matches this season.
Conte's best friend Francesco Moriero stated that Conte wanted to train Roma. But he was not interested if he had to beat Daniele De Rossi and his friends in the middle of the season because he did not have the opportunity to prepare the team carefully.
